Immunoglobulin A deficiency is a primary immunodeficiency disease and is the most common of the primary antibody deficiencies. Many IgAD patients are asymptomatic (ie, "normal" blood donors) and are identified by finding a laboratory abnormality, without any apparent associated clinical disease.
