The algorithm, TATAPRO (Tracked
Automated Assignments in Proteins) utilizes the protein primary sequence
and peak lists from the following set of triple resonance spectra:
-
CBCANH
-
CBCA(CO)NH
-
HN(CA)CO
(or HN(COCA)HA )
-
HNCO (or
HN(CA)HA )
TATAPRO uses BMRB statistical
data for 13Ca
and 13Cb
chemical shifts to group the 20 amino acids into 8 categories. It uses
the above statistical data as a guide to correlate the protein primary
sequence with the peak lists gerated from the above listed triple resonance
experiments, thus correlating 1HN and 15N
chemical shifts with those of 13Ca,
13Cb
and 13C' and of the sequence neighbors.
